Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)

The course aims at providing high quality professional education in business for those who wish to start self-employment in small scale industries, to go on business oriented computer professions, to work in multinational companies, to join executive positions in industries and business organizations.
 
Eligibility A pass in PUC / 10+2/ equivalent (Commerce / Science)
Duration of course  3 years

Course of Study

First Year 
Part I Kannada / Hindi / Additional English / Sanskrit 
Part II English 
Part III Business Environment, Business Economics, Financial Accounting, Business Mathematics and Statistics, Management & Behavioural Science

Second Year
The Second Year Syllabus is designed mainly to familiarize students with the major functional areas of business, coupled with the use of computer and developing entrepreneural skills.
Courses Office Organization and Management, Business Communication, Principles of Marketing, Business Finance, Personnel Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Small Scale Industries, Computer Technology and Programming

Third Year
Courses Production Management, Banking (Theory and Practice), Business Law, Management Information Systems, Electives paper I, II and III.

The candidates shall choose one of the following elective grups consisting of three subjects.

1. Foreign Trade in India

Elective VII Transport Management
1. Transport in India
2. Rail and Road Transport Management

Elective VIII Project Report and Viva-Voce

Note: In order to make the BBM Course more relevant to the needs of Business and Industry, Project Report, Industrial Study Tours and short visits to different organizations are arranged.

The Institution reserves the right to offer or not to offer any particular elective group and determine the number of candidates to be admitted under each elective group subject to the approval of the University.
